Halton Stairlifts
Family firm supplying new, reconditioned and rental stairlifts nationwide, BHTA approved.
Halton Stairlifts Ltd is a family firm with a head office in Widnes, Cheshire, supplying and installing new and used stairlifts in homes nationwide. It covers straight and curved staircases and also offers rental and hinged-rail models — a hinged rail folds out of the way at the bottom of the stairs so it does not block a doorway or hallway, which is worth asking about if your staircase ends near a door. Reconditioned lifts carry a warranty and service contracts are available. The company states BHTA approval, Checkatrade listing and six consecutive Feefo awards, and advertises 24/7 UK-based support.

Before you commit
- Get a written quotation. Never agree a price on the doorstep or over the phone.
- Take your time. A genuine company won't pressure you with a "today only" discount.
- Ask a family member or friend to be there for the visit if you can.
- Ask for the VAT relief form if you have a long-term illness or disability.
- You normally have 14 days to cancel an order agreed at home or online, but made-to-measure items can be an exception — get the cancellation terms in writing.
